15 Nov 2009 - We have had candid and fruitful discussions over the last two days. APEC has met at a critical juncture and the leaders were united in our priorities: to support the economic recovery, to pave the way for strong stable and sustainable growth in the region. You have seen the deliberations and the decisions. Let me briefly go through the key points.

15 Nov 2009 - We, the Leaders of APEC, gathered in Singapore to chart a new growth paradigm for the Asia-Pacific region. The global economy has begun to recover, with the Asia-Pacific region taking the lead. But we cannot go back to “growth as usual”.

13 Nov 2009 - I am delighted to join you all this morning for the APEC CEO Summit and to have so many distinguished delegates with us in Singapore. I think it is one of the largest turn-outs for a CEO Summit that APEC has experienced and we will try our best to make this a worthwhile and a memorable experience for all of you.

12 Nov 2009 - Minister Yeo: Ladies and gentlemen of the media, thank you for joining us this afternoon. We've had 3 days of quite intensive discussions. Starting with a high level symposium on Tuesday, which was attended by ministers who were present at the beginning 20 years ago in Canberra, and also Prime Minister Bob Hawke, who as the Prime Minister of Australia at that time, launched APEC in November 1989 and that gave us a longitudinal view of how APEC has evolved over the years and how it has helped to usher in what is likely to be the Asia Pacific century.

12 Nov 2009 - First of all, thank you very much for coming today. I think we have media here from a wide range of countries. Thank you for taking our meeting seriously. I can tell you that we’ve had very good discussions today, starting with the private retreat of Ministers in the morning, and followed by a couple of very useful plenary sessions on issues which all our member economies find critical in one way or another as we try to chart a path out of this crisis, and a path towards sustained growth over the medium to long term.
