Yishun EC is located in the city centre of Singapore. The project is managed by J BE Holdings, a company of the Sing Holdings Group. Yishun EC was approved for construction in December 2021 by the Ministry of Economic and Social Development (MECD). The project is targeted at providing the facilities required for an e-commerce portal to be launched in the country. The portal will be based on the principles of internet marketing.
Yishun EC is located right in the middle of the Sing Health shopping complex. You need to drive directly to Yishun station from the Sing Health parking lot. Once you are at Yishun, you will see the expressway that connects to the Yishun Center. The expressway will connect to the Yishun shopping center, Yishun Square and the Yishun Centre. The new development is called Yishun EC because the old development, Yishun Square, has been torn down.
The new development, Yishun EC, is comprised of a new mall and one hundred and forty-one shops. The shopping center is located right in the middle of the Yishun EC, so commuters can simply walk straight into the mall. If you want to go out and shop, you can go to the Yishun Center and catch a transfer there.
The mall contains two hotels and one freehold condo. It also contains an attached public park with a children’s play area. The Yishun Center has four floors and offers one hundred and sixty-three shops, including two indoor markets, a food court, and a ground-and-pound grill. On top of all this, the Yishun Center also features a bus interchange, a comprehensive public library, a YMCA, a movie theater, a health club, a premium restaurant, a video arcade, and an electronic media centre. If you’re wondering where the bus stops are, don’t worry, the freeholder is constantly revising them.
You will also find the Yishun Community College in the middle of Yishun EC. The college offers a full range of classes for those interested in either community studies or computer technology. The bus stop is located just east of the Yishun Park Causeway. The One Sophia freehold condo is also on Yishun Way, just west of Yishun Park Causeway.
The other major difference between Yishun EC and Yishun Park is the shopping area at Pearl Bank Shopping Centre. If you’re tired of the malls, this is the place to go. This mall features one of the largest freestanding malls in Malaysia and has three large freestanding floor-to-flat retailers including Pearl bank, Max & Mandarina, and JC Penny’s. There are also a large cinema theatre and a movie complex. The mall is two stories tall, with a central circular escalator as the main entrance. The mall offers many different kinds of stores, including a flagship store of pearl bank, as well as major department stores.
From the mall, you just turn left and go past a bus station to your minibus destination. On your way, you’ll pass through the freeholder’s market, a new development featuring primary food outlets, and a Chinese supermarket. The shopping area also features an Islamic store, a kebab house, and coffee houses. The minibus ride gets you right into the heart of Yishun EC, where you can get out of the minibus, pay for your taxi, and head straight to your hotel room.
The Yishun EC Shopping Village is located just beside the minibus terminal, so you don’t have to transfer to a bus to get to your hotel. Once you’re at your room, you can explore the shopping village, go back to the minibus station, and then continue along the north south expressway to your hotel. The journey takes about an hour and half, and you can get out and walk around throughout the area. The east coast expressway and the south expressway connect to the Yishun EC by taking a one-mile detour.
